When Our Thoughts Turn Toxic

We all get negative thoughts from time to time. But it's unhealthy when those thoughts become more frequent and aren’t a true reflection of the true reality. When our thoughts run away with us and become distorted.

WHEN THAT INNER VOICE THAT TELLS US WE ALWAYS GET IT WRONG

I guess we all beat ourselves up when we get something wrong, that inner voice that tells us it was a stupid thing to do, but when that inner critic starts saying things like -

“I Always – get it wrong”

“I Never – get it right “

Or you find yourself saying words like “Should/Must/Ought”

That's the time to pay attention because those phrases have moved one step further from negative to toxic, you are globally labeling yourself and things around you as so negative that they are unchangeable.

You have labeled yourself forever!

Phrases like “ I will always be fat” or “ I will never find anyone to love me,”

Just because you don’t say these out loud, doesn’t mean it’s ok. Because your brain is like a sponge, and unconsciously absorbs those words.

Start listening to your inner voice and change your negative and toxic messages into positive ones. Notice the difference - nothing is forever and there is always an opportunity for change.
