How Therapy Can Help Work Through the Tough Issues and Help You Find a Better Way

The month of May has arrived! And I welcome it with open arms. The foliage at this time of year is is such a fresh green, and the birds are singing their hearts out, as they clamour to be heard by others.

My little garden is springing into life too. Although I felt quite sad, as one of my Clematis that has flowered for many years, rambling along the fences with profuse blooms of pink failed to do so this year. I had to cut it down, at the same time searching for any sights of life. As I gently cut away I found lots of dead twigs and branches and closer to the bottom a lot of old rotten wood. But, there - near the ground I discovered new shoots and growth. I will nurture those tender little shoots, and hope that in return they will reward me with a profusion of blooms, hopefully, next year.

I guess therapy can feel like that. When people come to see me, they are often filled with distress and sometimes a sense of hopelessness. Not able to see any light at the end of the tunnel.

But just like that clematis, by gently working through the broken parts with them, and finally getting down to the deep wound, and the initial cause, they can begin the healing process. Creating a new healthier way of being.
