What Does Clarity Mean to You?

Updated: Mar 25, 2019

What does that mean to you? It can seem to be a really deep question to think about.

  • Who am I?

  • What is my purpose in life?

  • ·How do I get inner contentment?

When actually you may just want some direction of what to do next! So let’s make it simpler and ask the questions -

  • What do I want/need?

  • Why do I want to do it?

  • When do I want to do it?

  • How are I going to achieve it?

You can apply the answers to those questions to any part of your life.

For example you are feeling tired and worn out. If you ask yourself what you want or need, then chances are you answer that you want a holiday. The why is because you need some rest and change of scenery. Deciding on when you want to do it will probably depend on time and money. Which then leads to how you are going to achieve it. Now you have clarity – and not only that but also a plan.

You can also apply the same reasoning to your career, especially if you aren’t happy right now. Ask yourself what you need or want. That could be a complete career change, or some tweaks that would make you happier in the present one. The reasons why can be very varied for each of us. Working long hours, being bored, or suffering with work-related stress. When you make those changes will depend on what those changes are, but we can all make even the smallest changes to help us feel better. How will also depend on what changes you want to make.

When I ask myself these questions I have clarity, rather than muddling through, feeling confused and stuck on the hamster wheel.
